Christmas with the Allen's

For Christmas this year we bought a family ski pass to Brian Head ski resort. The week of Christmas we rented a condo and spent time hanging out just our family. It was nice to be together. The girls are really taking to skiing and getting good at it. This is my first season in many years! The pictures below are of the family, except Braden who was in daycare, waiting for the girls' ski instructor to show. this there's Claire with her tube headed up the rope tow at Brian Head. We joined Uncle John and Patti's family for a couple hours of sledding. Next is the condo, the cozy very small condo we stayed at. Dan is making hot chocolate and we are doing a puzzle. Our weekend...

Here are some pictures of what we have been up to this weekend. I went to Target to buy Christmas presents and took the girls because I didn't want to leave them long (Target is in StGeorge) so Claire saw what I bought her, the little kitchen and was dying to play with it. I caved because Dan is out of town, but I didn't realize how long it would take to put it up. All of the girls pitched in and actually did a fantastic job. It was completed by midnight and ended out to be a fun project for us to do together. Tonight (Sunday night) we dove into more projects and turned on some Christmas music-courtesy of xmradio- and Sami, Melody and I made sugar cookies for the neighbors and Jenee and Clarie wrapped gifts for some family friends. The pict of the girls out in the snow is a picture of them helping the neighbor kid get push his fourwheeler out of the snow :) How was your weekend?

Thanksgiving was at our house this year with Dan's family, 5 of his siblings (their families) and his parents. It was so fun!!

Our house......

We have been making a lot of changes on our house lately, here are just a couple, the now mud room used to be the laundry room which was a tiny room! Now Braden's room is the laundry room, it is much bigger and oh so functional! I love it! This is our new kitchen table that I also love love love. The only reason we got a new table was because this very small dining room didn't fit the old table. This fits better and I didn't realize how much I would enjoy it.

I know I haven't updated this forever! My goal is once a week....is that normal? I still check on everyone elses ( about once a week ). Blogging is the best. Dan is in Idaho this weekend, again. So my aunt (Dan's aunt) Dorie had us over for pizza on Saturday and that night my friend Amy came over with her kids and we had a movie night, which by the way the kids watched the movie for all of about 20 minutes and then ran around chasing each other and playing. We didn't care, we just had fun talking and hanging out.
